Let the Minister for WorkCover know how bad things really are

Victoria

What I Can Do for You

As your elected member for South Eastern Metropolitan Region in the Parliament of Victoria, Gordon can assist constituents who are having problems dealing with State Government departments, which may include Education, Health, Roads & Transport, State Revenue Office, Housing, WorkCover & Transport Accident Commission (TAC).

It is important that you make Gordon aware of any local concerns you may have regarding State Government issues so he can bring the matter to the attention of the relevant Minister. Gordon has a number of ways in which he can do this, ranging from writing to the Minister to raising the matter directly with the Minister in Parliament.

Often it is best to put your concerns in writing, and this can be done by forwarding either a brief letter to the office address or contacting me on my contact form.

If your concern is one that does not fall within Gordon’s jurisdiction, either he or his staff members will be able to refer you to the relevant Federal Department or local government area.

Dear Sir I am a work cover victim and I feel we are not being looked after well. The law covers employees whilst punishing victims with loss of employment and wages. Oh you have the Nes program but truely who will employ a liability to their business. I used to earn $1,200 a fortnight when I worked, I now get $790 per fortnight. I can not work to earn extra, I have the same bills as I did before but have to pay them with less. I am in a sinking ship. I am seeking legal advice but any compensation claims I make take a long time to get if I do. By then I could have lost my house , thank you for that.
Mean while my employer carries on, nothing happens to them. It does not matter that after I had surgery I had no back to work plans for months, my physio was cancelled at a crucial time of my recovery. Maybe I could have gotten back to work on full duties if my employer had done the right thing for me and looked after my welfare. What punishment do they get?
I am left with an injury that is permanent possibly, loss of finance, loss of job the system sucks really! I am a 42 year old woman who is still young but faces a life time of unemployment, it is scarey, heart breaking, soul crushing and it tears your family a part because they can not understand what you feel, but have their own worries aswell.

why when a reported injury to w/c and e . b. q do case manager try to get the injured person to lie and defraud the system (I was told to go into work and fall over that the company new about my current injury but wanted to make this a new claim i would not even have to fill out paperwork as it would all be done for me) then when i refuse and contact their manager delay medical attention by having i.m.e ;s that are clearly biased give false reports based on what the case manager has told them   i have evidence and addmissions of guilt by way of apologetic letters why are these case managers allowed to stop you seeing a surgeon when the op has failed then manage to get you sacked the next day when you have said that you would take the matter to accs why when you have done the right thing and told the truth does the system then hang you and your family why does the minister not put one and i am sure there are many complaints of fraudelent behavoir by insurers why not put one to the test and let the public forum decide just what is wrong with w/c you see it is not the government employees who are rorting the system or the injured worker it is the insurance companies that run it on behalf of the government ( thing is no one wants to admit that these companies interests are profit for there share holders not injured workers) it is sad when government is afraid not of its own voters but of non voting  corporate australia its time to drag this junket system out into the cold light of day and find a better way for injured workers .
