  1. Privacy Laws – where are they??? Let’s find out who these f-ckers are and name and shame them!

  2. I don’t worry about them, I couldn’t care less what they find out about me , I have nothing to hide, have lived that way all my life.

  3. I have nothing to hide either but I have also seen harmless survellience that is consistent with my injury and treatment turned into something that is supposedly far more sinister which tries to allege I’m just making it up and putting things on. It just makes me sick. Why can’t these scumbags just do the damn job they get paid for and report the “facts” in a factual manner! If they want to make creative movies, go do a course in stage and theatre productions or something more appropriate!

    • Hey Benny, these scum bags PI s want the money and more work just like IME’s.Talk abo ut watching what you do on FB etc watch who’s watching you do your rehab eg. I had this stupid women in the hydro pool trying so hard to strike a conversation with me,but it stood out and when I said so hows the PI work travelling these days she did a back flip went red as a beetroot stuttered and didn’t know where to look and I just laughed in her face and I said hey everyone we have a PI in the pool she got out and left never saw her again. My lawyer had warned me.

      • @Tony, You should FOI her report and see what it said, even for a laugh. Good work on your behalf, what slimey little bottom feeders these people must be. I think we should have a rating system for each of them and their companies like rate the MD’s, also something that can name and shame their dirty tactics. Won’t get much more work from WorkCover if their cover is blown. Did you get her pic or anything?

Thumb up 0 Thumb down 0

        • Workcover has plenty of work for them, they instruct them to deliberately intimidate. There’s nothing you can do but carry on, do what you have to do and learn to laugh at them – quietly of course.

      • Awesome Tony, just awesome!!!! Bet she won’t forget that in a hurry. Problem with these slimy little F**kers is that they make you so suspicious and paranoid that you loose your trust anyone newish in your life. And that is just not right!

        • Dear Mad Chef, you are so right anyone new in the hydro pool im and I have everyone on alert some of my old mates are straight onto it they pump them for info eg,whats wrong with you etc etc.Its like I have a little army.I can tell you I don’t trust people anymore and that’s what they have done to me and a lot of others out there.I just hate PI ‘s want to be cops, they have no more power or rights than anybody but they seem to get off on it.

Thumb up 0 Thumb down 0

          • yes, PI’s are a weird lot. Would be cops?, desperate for a job? It must get them down from time to time. I had one follow me to a car yard when I bought a new car, I was just about to ask him if he wanted to come for a test drive with me but then his wife and kids turned up. You have to wonder what their families must think, maybe their entire families are weird?

  4. They are all scum!! I had a PI hand in his report that I was on stage with a rock band for an hour when in fact this said PI was sitting next to me the whole bloody time drinking beer with me!!! He even used the video that I took on my mobile phone and posted on youtube as his survailance footage!!! What a fucking goose!!

Thumb up 0 Thumb down 0

  5. Yes, that’s right, they lie. I bet this video wasn’t used against you in court?

Thumb up 0 Thumb down 0

    • I haven’t been to court yet, but I wouldn’t put it past them… I have 40+ eye witnesses that were there that night that can swear it wasn’t me, I also have video footage of the PI sitting next to me, intoxicated with beer in hand too.

      • I know it’s hard not to get angry, but you can’t do anything but let the process take it’s course. Remember the system was designed to stop injured workers making claims. Judges are fully aware of the tactics PIs use and they know their video footage is edited to make you look bad. Injured workers have nothing to prove, but the insurance companies have to think of their bottom line. It would be interesting to know just how much they spend on PIs. What a perfect world it would be if that money could be put to better use eg. re-training for injured workers who can no longer do their pre-injury jobs.

        • @Just me – ALMOST $15 million of taxpayers’ money was spent in 2011 by WorkSafe in spying on Victorians who say they were injured at work or on the roads. That’s a hell of a lot of money, mostly wasted.“It is time for the VWA to rein themselves in – investigators should only be engaged by the VWA when there is a reason to suspect a fraud being committed, not just someone is lodging a compensation claim.”

“The VWA needs to redirect its funds to preventing workplace injuries and helping injured workers get back to work.”

Thumb up 0 Thumb down 0

          • I think (from experience) that the VWA is in bed with the insurers just a little too much. I watched VWA walk away from a serious PIAWE dispute that has been ongoing for 2 years. When they wouldn’t help, despite abundant documented proof, I lost what little trust I had left. More highly paid scumbags just covering their arses with no REAL independence! Lets face it, they all need each other and this farcical situation or they’d all be unemployed.

Thumb up 0 Thumb down 0

            • Dear Mad chef,i just hope and pray that someday these arsehloes are thrown into the system themselves KARMA sometimes people just have to learn first hand.

            • @madchef, that’s just the start of it. I had the same thing happen to me but they also covered up unlawful termination by the employer etc as well. Just so you know, WorkCover Assist are part of the VWA i.e. eveything you show them , you should know that the VWA i.e. and their Agent the Insurer can see it. Also know that even though Conciliators are not employed directly by the VWA, their staff are. Wow where does it end???

        • Hey JustMe, my lawyer (MBB) made a comment about judges in my region. She said only 2 come down this way, one is good and one she hopes we don’t get. Read between the lines.
Makes me wonder how much preconceived ideas about WC victims being bludgers is affecting court decisions?? I know “they are all impartial before the facts” yer right?? I wonder?

Thumb up 0 Thumb down 0

          • Funny that, my solicitor told me I got a hard arbitrator. That says it all doesn’t it. They should go on the facts. Personalities should not come into it. It makes it very hard to trust a system that is so flawed and full of human idiosyncrasy. I’m so use to it now.

  6. It doesn’t surprise me that $15 million was spent on PIs. But remember they’re allowed to do it, they have full support of governments, so that says it all – our governments like to kick us when we’re down. Some one has to pick up the tab, yes the tax payers, lovely system we have and we’re considered to be one of the best and fairest countries in the world. The best I can hope for is a vote – March 28 in NSW, but I don’t even trust that to be a fair and honest system. Do you?

Thumb up 0 Thumb down 0

  7. Remember everyone, WorkCover is a “CASH COW” for the Government. Why would they want to change it? It’s money for jam, no matter who you vote for. They don’t give a shit about any of us.

Thumb up 0 Thumb down 0

    • That’s right Pee’d off. But at the end of the day, someone has to pay – the tax payers, that is not right, the tax payers are not aware of this burden forced upon them – unless they fall victim to the scam as well. Employers pay premiums by law to insure their workers…….. – you know how the rest of this story goes………

  8. Easy to find out how much spent on your surveillance. Ask for a list of all payments made from your claim number from FOI department. I was surveilled for two days, cost just under $3000 – total waste – don’t even have a physical injury! Also now know what every IME cost, including supp reports and how many report s were not disclosed to me – a direct breach of Health Records Act. I urge all injured workers to lodge complaint with Commissioners office if they find privacy breached in any way.

Thumb up 0 Thumb down 0

    • Lucky you were only surveilled for 2 days. I’ve been surveilled for years, by WC, employer, insurer, even after the case has been closed. Yes it is truly laughable.
I’d like to know how much it all cost but half the info would be missing im sure. Employers for example don’t have to disclose that info? You can only imagine what’s going to happen now that both governments have passed the new metadata laws – not that they ever needed permission.

    • Hi FWC, when you say ask FOI dept do you mean
FOI dept at your insurance company?
I had a dispute recently and SCuM said she had passed on info bla bla.
But when I asked for FOI team contact details she wouldn’t give them to me (that’s when I did the Health Records Act- suckers).
I would dearly like to know about the surveillance, especially staying on a friends property and this invading their privacy.
Get back to me if you can-cheers, Mad Chef
