Fraud management in workers compensation

Here is quite a good and insightful article in all things workers compensation fraud, sourced by our star contributor Trinny.

Interesting quotes:

…there has been an increased focus on the issue of ‘commercial stalking’ which refers to the overuse (or unnecessary use) of investigation by insurers…

…it is not in the interests of insurers to become too aggressive in their approach to fraud management, especially in the area of premium fraud. Prosecuting or fining customers is just not good business! [WTF!]

About Workcovervictims

We are the authors, co-authors, seriously injured workers and invisible supporters (incl. abled family members and friends) behind A Diary of a WorkCover Victim. We hope this site, our and many other injured workers’ stories will somehow help other injured workers navigating the murky waters of the workcover system, and, at the very least, teach you to be extremely diligent in finding out your legitimate rights, always questioning the “system” in order to keep some sort of control within the workcover system. The workers compensation is – in our opinion- extremely adversarial and they use tactics to wear you down, to make you emotionally bleed out, to break you, all in order to weaken your position and to maximise their insane profits.

There have been repeated allegation of fraud by Allianz NSW yet bum chums WorkCover NSW simply doesn’t care.

Time and time again Allianz features negatively in this blog. All of those independent reports cannot be wrong.

Whilst Barry is cleaning up WorkCover he should start at the top and get rid of pen pusher Julie Newman.
