Some see workcover as a free ticket and early retirement

Yesterday, our star “None” alerted us to a rather inappropriate workcover related tweet. Joke or no joke, the guy frankly tweets or talks about committing WorkCover fraud…

Some see workcover as a free ticket and early retirement

Just in case the original tweet would be deleted, here is a snapshot:

In this tweet, the dude appears to openly talks about committing WorkCover fraud by stating that he “should have gone into work and claimed he did it there” – how SICK! And, he clearly sees WorkCover as being in receipt of “early retirement”, given that he sends it to #earlyretirement! How SICK!

Most (if not, all) genuinely injured workers who are on WorkCover are in fact going through HELL!

And it is people like “SeanMadden” who are responsible for genuinely injured workers being treated like criminals and fraudsters; and it is people like “SeanMadden” who are responsible for falsely instilling the MYTH that workcover victims are on a “paid holiday”, “early retirement” or “milking the system”.

People like “SeanMadden” ought to be deeply ashamed of themselves and ought to be punished for alleging to commit workcover fraud. But that’s just our seriously injured opinion ;)

About Workcovervictims

We are the authors, co-authors, seriously injured workers and invisible supporters (incl. abled family members and friends) behind A Diary of a WorkCover Victim. We hope this site, our and many other injured workers’ stories will somehow help other injured workers navigating the murky waters of the workcover system, and, at the very least, teach you to be extremely diligent in finding out your legitimate rights, always questioning the “system” in order to keep some sort of control within the workcover system. The workers compensation is – in our opinion- extremely adversarial and they use tactics to wear you down, to make you emotionally bleed out, to break you, all in order to weaken your position and to maximise their insane profits.

The actual number of injured workers who are frauds are less than 1%. No one with any sense would choose to stay in what injured workers call workers compensation hell. We have a saying: Injured at work, disabled by workers compensation. In my workcover hell, I lost my dominant arm, my health, my savings, my income, my freedom, my car, my career, my hobbies and my dignity. …

Unbelievable how many people think injured and ill workers as malingerers!!!Anyone who has had experience in the system knows its a joke. The Hon. GREG PEARCE talking in Parliament on the issue of the NSW Libs attacking injured workers benefits; “In the work injury damages space everybody gets a prize except the scheme”…

A F*****g PRIZE?? Whats the prize moron??
having an injury and not being able to play with your kids, living with pain and a injury for the rest of your life, wages dropping so low you cant meet your bills, losing your home, losing your marriage?????
I wonder what the ‘prize” is for the family of a construction worker who went to work on Tuesday and never got to come home?
    Get real loser !
